Second chance.

OK, if you’ve read my account of our trip back to Gambo, you’ll have noticed that Air Canada didn’t impress me very much.

So it’s only fair that I ....
So it’s only fair that I report that I wrote to them complaining about the trip. Today, (Dec 2nd 2002) I got a reply from them. They said sorry and enclosed 3 x $300.00 American discounts on any flight we want to make in the next 12 months. Plus they almost gave me $70.00 for our laundry bills while we were in Newfoundland. I say almost because the $70.00 chequecheck was missing. They have promised to send another one.

Anyway, I think that deserves giving them a second chance, (I can’t afford to turn down $900.00 of our next trip). So we’ll be flying Air Canada to England in March next year.

Bit late, but I hope all the Americans had a good Thanksgiving. I tried to explain to my 90 year old mother in England what it was all about. In the end I just told her that Americans are giving thanks for being American and living over here. Personally, after having umpteen kids, spouses, girlfriends and grandchildren for the day, I just give thanks when it’s all over.

Last, let me be the first to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New year. Hope to see a few of you in the new year.

Take care, be happy

Bob
