Tainted Movie Star

In the PressHi people

I don't know how many of you have seen this. I suspect most of the Brits have and that most of the Yanks haven't. This is an article from the Daily Mail.
Lynda Lee-Potters Wednesday column from late November or early December. It makes me sick that so called hero’s can set such a bad example.

A tainted movie hero

LAST week was the premiere of Bruce Willis’s latest film, Bandits.

The timid star wasn’t there because he’s too scared to fly.

A recorded video message from him was shown, only to be greeted with jeers of derision from the starry audience. I’ll be surprised if the film is successful at the box office. The movie star’s behaviour has been contemptible, and, in future, most of us won’t be able to take him seriously. Whenever we see him on screen supposedly doing daring deeds, we’ll remember the craven, real-life coward behind the macho image. During the Second World War, a man in my small Lancashire home town evaded his call-up and he was pointed out as a coward until the day he died.

People never forgave or forgot.
