There's Really Hope

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone has made it home safe and sound. When I arrived in Chicago it was wonderful to still be with fellow UA929 passengers, I felt safe. Unfortunately, my name was not on the list for an outgoing flight but with a little work I was able to get a flight out to San Diego at 7:25 pm that night. I flew with four other UA 929 passengers including the soon to be newlyweds and Iain & Julie Campbell. Coming off the plane it was all I could do not to breakdown and cry. Iain, Julie and I walked out together and gave me one last tight hug and wished me well.

The next day I nervously made my way to the doctors office to be told that "yes, indeed I had made it on time." I was to have my frozen embryo's transfered on Friday. That's tomorrow, and I'm ready for what the outcome may be. It has been a long journey for me but I think I'm a better person for it and I hope you all feel the same way. Gambo showed what is truly possible of people and I hope we are all better for it.

In a few weeks I'll know the results of the transfer and I hope to be able to e-mail you the good news and perhaps an ultrasound picture of our new babies. We've gone thru so much to have them and I'll make sure they know the story of how they became our babies and the story of UA 929 The Gambo Strandees.

Take care until next time,

Kelly Russell, UA 929
